CEBA take the view that a Business Angel’s main concern is the business and its management. Mundane matters such as employment issues, health and safety policy, companies house returns are not upper most in the mind when considering the suitability of the opportunity, so CEBA take care of these issues by preparing an Investor Information Pack, in the majority of cases.
CEBA work with the Entrepreneur/SME to bring them to a stage where a logical business plan is available. CEBA also collaborate with other Business Angel Networks to ensure that quality opportunities are promoted. This promotion can be direct through this website, by post (if required) or a presentation event where the Business Angel can meet the Entrepreneur/SME. This website has been so designed to enable registered investors to act individually or in concert with others, and to keep track of the progress of any identified opportunity.
CEBA interrogate the opportunity to satisfy itself that the SME qualifies for EIS tax relief (or not, if that be the case). We work with local investment funds for co-investment and other finance institutions should gearing be appropriate.
